Project completed on behalf of a community fairtrade group to publicise the Feb/March 2023 event 'Fairtrade Fortnight'.

My concept was to make use of the group mascot (a teddy bear, known as 'Fair Ted') by creating a large model aeroplane to be displayed in a local supermarket throughout the 2 week event. The choice of a plane was to intrigue onlookers, so that they would stop and engage with the display and ask questions about the event. It is also educational, highlighting the countries around the world benefiting from fairtrade policies. I also designed a colouring/activity sheet to be distributed alongside the display and redesigned a free bookmark, which had been given out annually to local primary school pupils.

To maximise discussion and involvement, the plane - and Fair Ted- also visited local schools as part of a lesson plan. An interactive quiz 'Where Is Ted?' was also shared on social media, with Ted photographed in mystery locations around the town.
